Here are answers to Frequently Asked Questions. Please scroll down for our terms and conditions.


How long will it take and where is it?

The Boudoir Portraits experience is usually a full day at my Studio in Kingston, Surrey. The day usually starts from 10.45am so please arrive by 10.30am. It’s a day of total ‘you time’ and depending on the package you have opted for will include light refreshments and/or a champagne lunch in the studio. The idea is that you are able to relax and enjoy the experience, as well as the end result.

What happens at the session?

First we just relax & chat over a cup of something hot or glass of bubbly, exploring what you’ve brought along to wear and some ideas for poses.

Normally I draw a couple of quick ten minute poses – and a longer study (up to three hours) in the afternoon (depending on the package you have selected – see below).

What does a boudoir portrait cost?

There are four options, ranging from £1,000 to a bespoke package (POA)  which are detailed below:

The Gold Package
Includes one longer-pose or 2-3 shorter poses, plus refreshments. You will take home 1 longer drawing or 2-3 shorter drawings.
Time: up to 4 hours
Cost: £1,000

The Platinum Package
2-3 shorter drawings and one longer pose, inclusive of the champagne lunch with me in my studio. You will take home up to 3 drawings. (I may continue to ‘edit’ the final portrait drawing from photographs).
Time: up to 6 hours
Costs: £3,500

The Diamond Package (The Wedding Package)
The ultimate Boudoir Portraits experience includes a full day in my studio with several poses and studies, documented with photographs taken by a professional London-based fashion photographer. You can choose one of these photographs in black and white to be enhanced and printed on fine art paper and sent to you in a beautiful frame (A4 size). A selection of the best photos will also be sent to you digitally.  I will work on your drawings for up to 2 further days and you will own up to 3 drawings, at least one of which will be highly detailed. Typically, this package suits wedding boudoir and can include studies of the bridal accessories, the bridal lingerie and or a special gown.  The finished drawings will be sent to you anywhere within the UK. (For international courier service, please contact Skye.)
Time: full day (plus up to 5 days working from photographs)
Cost: £5,500

The Diamond Luxe Package:
The Diamond Package can be further enhanced with a prior consultation to determine the “look” you are aiming to achieve with access to an online ‘lookbook’ to inspire you. The Luxe experience includes refined refreshments (French Champagne, fine cuisine, healthy and light catered lunch) and chauffeur driven car service to and from the studio (Greater London / London airports). My team will include a professional London-based fashion photographer and MakeUp & hair artist. This enhanced package includes up to 2 finely detailed finished portrait drawings and an exquisite printed book of photographs of the day.
Time: full day (plus up to 7 days working from photographs)

How to book

To secure your booking, select one of the packages and contact Skye.   An invoice will be generated and once payment is processed, a date can be secured (terms and conditions apply).   The full payment is non-refundable unless you simply need to change the date (36 hours notice required) or there are extenuating circumstances which prevent you from going ahead.

Terms and Conditions

  • By making a payment for your Boudoir Portrait package, you are accepting the terms and conditions stated in this document.
  • Payment is required in full to secure your studio date and must be paid at least 4 weeks prior to your session (unless there are extenuating circumstances or you make a special arrangement with Skye directly).
  • In the rare case of the final drawing not being acceptable to Skye’s client, this is a  situation where a discussion and negotiation can resolve most issues. An example could be working from photographs once the client has departed from the studio to complete the drawings or to adjust drawings. Repeat sittings are another option in unusual circumstances. Skye Holland will always work to accommodate the client, however, there is never a prescriptive outcome, this is a creative process and depends on the dynamics on the day. On commissioning a Boudoir Portrait, the client is accepting this creative process and Skye’s signature style. No refund will be given once the Boudoir Portrait has been completed.
  • Should the client be unable to attend the Boudoir Portrait day, Skye Holland requires 3 weeks notice in order to defer. Less than this will only be considered if the client experiences extreme and extenuating circumstances.
  • Skye Holland reserves the right to hold the portrait drawings on completion of the studio portrait day, in order to complete, make adjustments and to archive the portrait.
  • No abusive or untoward behaviour is acceptable in the studio. The artistic process requires a relaxed and respectful atmosphere. Skye Holland reserves the right to terminate a studio day if it becomes unpleasant or there is inappropriate behaviour.
  • Skye will organise postage & packaging or courier of finished artworks to the client’s stated address after the studio day. This will be charged to the client at the standard 1st class and insured rate, plus an administration fee of £25 which will be quoted to the client and payable prior to sending artwork. Clients are free to collect the artwork from the studio by appointment.
  • Clients opting for the Diamond Luxe package will not be required to pay for a courier service inside the UK.
  • Any framing or bespoke printing of artworks can be made by appointment with Skye Holland and are not included in the package prices.
  • Any photographs taken are the property of Skye Holland but will not be used for any other purpose other than for sharing with her client (upon request) and for reference materials.
  • Copyright and Publishing rights are owned by the artist. Any sharing or publishing will be done only with the written consent of the artist to client and vice versa. The client may not share photographs of the day or the work without Skye Holland’s approval and consent.
  • No prints of the work or facsimiles can be made from photographs or other means without the consent and permission of Skye Holland.
